Harmonix leaked news to its new title Rock Band this week. Put out by MTV (who bought Harmonix) and EA, Rock Band will feature a guitar controller, bass guitar controller, drum controller, and microphone. Gone are the days of two player jam sessions, welcome in the new era of four player rock shows! It is reported that Harmonix has also solved a big issue in internet lag, allowing all members of your band to play online in a smooth as butter experience. Guitar Hero blew up the scene so hard that the cover bands of the previous games are no more, allowing for fully licensed tracks straight from the artists themselves. The next level is officially here, time to really get this party started! Lets hope that there are online tournaments to crown the ultimate rock band, that would be awesome. I am also assuming that webcams can be used while practicing with your band, to make sure each member is rocking accordingly. A holiday 2007 release date is set for Xbox 360 and PS3 as of now.
