A spring update is in store for Live members this week. Xbox Live will be receiving a nice little face-lift with some much needed new features. The biggest change is an instant messaging chat ability to the 360 that can be ran while listening to music or watching movies and TV shows. The IM will also be able to have conversations with other PC users and mobile users. You might want to hook up a USB keyboard though as using the controller just doesn't seem like it would be worth the time.
Some other cool tweaks include the ability to watch, rewind, and fast forward video while it is still downloading. Users can now also set their consoles to shut off after downloading and Xbox Live Marketplace will get its own menu page in the dashboard.
